Intelligent, creative and inspiring, her life was tinged with tragedy. Legendary for her extravagance and inability to manage money, she was devastated when her father killed himself and left her only £500. She suffered from depression for much of her adult life.
She met Detmar Blow in 1988 and sixteen days later they were engaged. They were married till she took her own life at the age of 48.
