Isabella Blow was a true English eccentric and a legendary figure in the fashion industry. As fashion editor on US Vogue, Uk Tatler and The Sunday Times, she championed young designers such as Philip Treacy and Alexander McQueen, and was responsible for discovering Sophie Dhal.
Intelligent, creative and inspiring, her life was tinged with tragedy. Legendary for her extravagance and inability to manage money, she was devastated when her father killed himself and left her only £500. She suffered from depression for much of her adult life.
She met Detmar Blow in 1988 and sixteen days later they were engaged. They were married till she took her own life at the age of 48.
