Architects and designers Roman and Williams have designed some of our favourite spaces. Both Amanda and I (and families) have stayed in the Ace Hotel in New York, which manages to be modern and contemporary and retain a sense of the past (it used to be a down at heel hotel in the highly unglamorous mid town area). It is also extremely comfortable and relatively inexpensive.
They also designed the super stylish Standard Hotel in the meatpacking district which is on our list for our next visit to NYC.
If you have a spare five minutes settle down with a cup of tea and be inspired. We love their line 'it's a shame you only have dreams at night, you should have a few opportunities during the day.'

Love, Love. Sitting in the lobby of the Ace Hotel in NYC is like sitting in a ski lodge in colorado in the 70s or 80s - the scale is grand and the space somehow still cozy with much to look at - aside from the people. their design ideas are somehow nostalgic and modern simeltaneously.

For any folks invested in more and better resident contribution, that is a knock back, i believe. But strangely enough, the newest one-pager Can involve many responsibilities around consultation.
