For me, it depends on the animal welfare. If it's good, and the slaughter and skinning conditions good (not alive), then no probs at all. It's just how you KNOW that. Perhaps there should be more widely publicised standards. There is plenty of cheap leather and sheepskin that comes from animals treated and killed badly, and no-one but die-hard vegans mentions it.

I have a fabulous reindeer pelt rug, bought in Finland where they are just a by-product of the meat industry, but some people are horrified although they have leather shoes (and, in one case) a cowskin rug!

I will be looking into SAGA I think, but then how to guarantee no rabid vegan paint-bombing me?
